Defendant's costs in claims which no longer continue under the RTA Protocol

The rules governing recoverable costs in matters which exit the RTA Protocol (for example, because liability is denied or causation is disputed) are found in CPR Part 45 III A.

The amount of costs to which a successful claimant is entitled are set out in Table 6B on pp.1504-1505 of the White Book (2015). However, the position in respect of a successful defendant's costs is less clear-cut...
